YIDDISH THEATRE POSTERS


"Hear, O Israel"
(Shema Yisroel)

 

This performance of "Hear, O Israel" was dedicated to the McKinley Square Theatre manager, H' Goldstein, on March 4, 1942. This play was written by the well-known Yiddish author, Ossip Dymow. The McKinley Square Theatre was located in the Bronx, New York.

The play starred Max Lasky, Annie Cherniak, Leon Schechter, Fishel Kanopoff, Yosef Paul, Philip Mark, H. Winkler, David Alexander, and L. Maturin.

The special guest of the evening was Mrs. Kadison (presumably Pola Kadison).
