"The Golden Land" was a play about the many
aspects of the Jewish immigration experience. It was presented
to the public a number of times in various forms beginning in
1982. It featured more than fifty songs, both in English and
Yiddish -- some with a bit of both. It demonstrated to the
audience the many happenings, the many trials and travails of
the Eastern European immigrants, from their time on Ellis Island
to the end of the Second World War.
