YIDDISH THEATRE POSTERS

"Greetings From Home"
(Agerus fun der heym)

Below is a poster that advertises the third week of the play, "Greetings From Home," which opened sometime in December of 1925. The drawing on the poster was created by Yiddish actor/director Leib Kadison. The show seemingly was produced by Sam Auerbach and Hershel Shorr.

This troupe also performed the same play in other places, e.g. at the Odeon Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 26, 1926. No doubt they played "on the road" in other venues.

The actors included:

Samuel Auerbach, Berta Gerstin, Sam Gertler, Meyer Honigman, Maurice Krohner, Sarah Krohner, Harry Levenstein, Sadie Schoengold, Jack Shargel, Fannie Sherson, Morris Silberkasten and a Miss Visala.
